Hello Everyone, We just announced that EverQuest II’s existing Station Exchange service will be transitioned over to Live Gamer. If you haven’t seen that announcement, you can find it here. I wanted to give you all more background on why we have made this decision. When we decided to begin our groundbreaking Station Exchange service, it was [...]

  • What Is It That You Do Again?
It’s one of the most common questions I’m asked. I’ve been in community relations for a looooooong time and my parents still call me regularly and ask me to explain it to one (or more) of their friends. They’re definitely not alone. In the not-so-distant past, I conducted some interviews for an entry level community [...]
  • No Doubt About It, I Got To Get Another Hat
When I was a kid I used to watch Rocky and Bullwinkle, a great cartoon created by Jay Ward and Alex Anderson. It was a fabulous show that made me laugh and I enjoyed it quite a bit when I was young. As I grew older I would watch it again and I’d laugh and [...]

  • Quality In Perception

This week, [...]
  • The Earplug Solution
I have a quote by Jeff Bezos, founder and CEO of Amazon.com taped to my door that says: “If you make customers unhappy in the physical world, they might each tell 6 friends.  If you make customers unhappy on the Internet, they can each tell 6,000 friends.” I have been involved with customer support with many [...]
  • Old & Busted Vs. New Hotness
Back in December I introduced myself as the Knowledge Base Administrator, and also stated some goals that we were striving for with increasing our front line customer service, the Knowledge Base. One of the key things that go hand-in-hand with the KB is our support site. This is the shell in which you, our customers, [...]

  • Cool Wallpapers - Concepts from Seeds of Destruction
As promised, here are a few concept shots from Seeds of Destruction. They really helped the art staff nail the look and feel of the expansion zones. Lore for the shots: Kaesora is one of the largest cities in the formidable sebilisian empire built by the iksar on the continent of Kunark.  Kaesora is home to the [...]

Half Way There

So for those that keep whining and complaining about the website hasn't been updated, I can assure you we are still running around kicking ass, and banging our heads because we are learning encounters. I, on the other hand, am only good at updating websites when being blackmailed and downloading pornography. It will stay that way once I go outside, which is probably never.

In other news, as the title indicates, we are half way done clearing MMM. Who was the 3rd victim? Here's a hint: It does not drop SK loot and it drops T3 helmets.

I know it's been a while since I updated with the Breakneck kill where a screenshot cannot be provided because I am just that terrible, but we have been busy in MMM. That is pretty much essentially our home. The developers might as well make a bind point for that terribad zone. Most of us live in these three zones: Guild Lobby, Guild Hall, and MMM.

Krond has been dead for too long, because it went down smooth as silk, so he's not worth mentioning about. The loot was beyond shit though. I have been moaning for the entire night about that, but I am not going to get into that. However, Brinda on the other hand, we need to talk about, at least for us. We have put numerous attempts on this encounter and slowly learning it. It really sucks as well when you add in the factors due to the terrible zone design and what not, but the dedication in this guild has always amaze me. We didn't give up; we don't sit around farming all week; we wipe over and over to progress. That's how things get done.

Now that MMM is cleared half way, we are definitely going to try to clean up that zone as much as we can before the inflation..I mean expansion kicks in.

Brinda screenshot? Well if you know the encounter, it's not about killing Brinda, so it is meaningless to post one anyway. If one of the guildies have somehow managed to become a hero photographer within the last few days, I definitely will post it. However, given my nature and the class I play, I probably will demand dead Paladins corpses; preferably d0rfs.

Peace.

As usual, Five Rings is recruiting. Please see the joining section and the right side for class requirements, which will probably be updated really shortly. If you have any questions about recruitment, please see our applicant officer: Cobronaz or our guild leader: Niflheim. If neither of them are on, you can always contact our app team: Zogbull, Rowantreey or our Officers: Morbis, Llaffer, Gochan, Frod. If you have issues about news updates, you can find myself (Lufan). Good luck finding me though.

Breaking the tip of the Iceberg

Quick Update before work. I am not going to bore you with SK tears about MMM. That will be saved for later. Yeah, I will upload a Breakneck corpse shot later today.

Farm Count:

Two Gods: Too many that I lost count

Soulbleeder: 9

Ralkor (BM3): 4

Breakneck: 1

After a few solid attempts and hundreds of man hours wasted on clearing trash to Breakneck, we finally beat this encounter down. Yes, we are happy. We are happy that we won't see him for the next 4 days.

We gave Krond a shot the first time last night and managed to get him down to somewhere around 25%. I don't remember the exact number, but you get the idea. He's going down soon.

Five Rings is recruiting, particularly looking for Clerics, but are accepting any class except SK's and Warriors at this time. Please see the joining tab for more information. We raid from 6:30 to 10:30-11ish EST with Fridays and Saturdays off. All of Solteris, Tier 2 and 3 (Outside of MMM) are on farm status. Our main focus right now is MMM and eventually Crystallos. If you are interested, please send Cobronaz, our recruiting officer, a tell in game.

As you may know by now, we are really bad at posing ourselves for pictures. So all I can provide is my task window on a quest that has been in my quest log since 7 months ago, or longer. I am horrible with dates in game, but exceptionally good with dates in real life!
